San Jose, August 14, 2020. The most important event in the Costa Rican goods export sector brings more news. Apart from being a 100% virtual and free event, BTM 2020 will show international buyers the best of the national offer and its innovative processes through a series of webinars, taught both by officials from the Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER) and of entrepreneurs in the export sectors.
The webinars will be given according to the interest of each region, on topics such as: supply, seasonality, varieties and Brix degrees of fresh products; how to intelligently buy Costa Rican products according to world trends; FAI AS9102 as a powerful tool for the management of the value chain (Consorcio Costa Rica Aerospace Cluster -CRAC-); Costa Rica as a sustainable and profitable supplier for the manufacture of medical devices (Consorcio CR Med Supply); innovation in the food industry: demand for new markets, new normal and post Covid-19 products; packaging trends; among others.
“We continue to export high value-added products that reflect the innovation capacity and quality of Costa Rican companies. In this new edition of the BTM, international buyers will find a wide range of innovative products with which we want to continue positioning Costa Rica in the restructuring of global value chains. This virtual business conference is one more example that Costa Rica continues to be a strategic ally for investing, establishing and expanding businesses,” said Minister a.i. of Foreign Trade and President a.i. of the Board of Directors of PROCOMER, Duayner Salas.
For his part, Pedro Beirute, General Manager of PROCOMER, added that the training component has always been an essential pillar within BTM, so this year apart from training the exporter through the BTM School, he also opted to provide extra value and develop a robust webinar program to the other great protagonist of the BTM, the buyers.
“This webinar program has the main objective of awakening greater interest from international buyers in our offer, based on the content that is going to be exhibited, which aims to highlight the characteristics of Costa Rican products that make us differentiate ourselves from the rest of the world. On the other hand, it allows the business meetings to be made more efficient, because the buyer would already enter the meeting knowing in advance the competitiveness variables of each of the sectors,” said Beirute.
